Tyson Fury Reveals Secret to Weight Loss Success
Tyson Fury rallied to an incredible success on German soil back in November 2015, as he clinically outworked and ultimately outpointed long-standing unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in his own backyard.
That supreme feat looked set to see Fury go on and assert his dominance on the division, with a rematch with the Ukrainian legend having been agreed and scheduled in light of their initial match-up. But things didn’t exactly go according to plan for the Manchester-born fighter.
Rather than gain momentum and carry on from his superb accomplishment, having ended Klitschko’s decade-long reign at the summit of the heavyweight division on foreign territory, he ended up going into meltdown.
Perhaps the burden of being the world heavyweight champion became too much, but Fury eventually became embroiled in troubles outside of the ring and had personal issues as well, forcing him to step away from the sport for some time.
‘Some time’ has since turned out to be over two years, with his comeback fight now finally pencilled in for June 9th at the Manchester Arena, as he prepares to return to the squared-circle after such a long spell away on the sidelines.
Fury is seen as the 5/4 outsider in the boxing betting with bet365 to overcome current and reigning heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, if the two British battlers were to eventually collide at some stage in their respective careers. With this bout being the one fans are most looking forward to seeing further down the line, providing the Mancunian can get back to his best and sharpest in the ring after his comeback.
Of course, he still has a long way to go, but Fury’s remarkable turnaround can only be praised, with everyone having seen the dramatic weight loss he has undergone through hard work and dedication.
The now 29-year-old was extremely overweight in previous months, having turned his back on boxing and being the subject of personal problems. But, gallantly, he has turned things around and looks in great shape, proven by his recent appearance on ITV TV show This Morning.
The former world heavyweight titleholder spoke to interviewers on the show, including Piers Morgan, and revealed that he lost over seven stone, which he gained from piling on the pounds during previous inactivity.
The British fighter jokingly stated that he has switched to black coffee, which he claims has been a big part of his weight loss, but the key reasons were undertaking a low-carb diet for a sustained period of time and also training very hard in the gym.
“I do get hungry, but I say do I want to look good?” stated the colourful boxing character on This Morning.
Having rediscovered his love of the sport in which he became a huge name again, Fury is back in the mix and will look to put his weight loss and return to fitness to good use when he climbs back in the ring on June 9th on his highly awaited comeback outing at the Manchester Arena.
