Introduction

It may interest you to know that there are more than 80.2 million people in the United States who live an inactive lifestyle. Such statistics have taken the U.S. into a health and obesity crisis that is going to be felt for generations to come.

But thankfully, gaining a well-toned body is no longer a dream thanks to rising health consciousness and swaths of information available to educate ourselves. When you know what it takes to develop better lifestyle habits and how best to proceed, only proper action is necessary.

On the other hand, when it comes to building a better body, people often get bombarded with numerous suggestions like up your protein intake, try cardio first, gym on alternate days, et cetera. Information overload can set in.

Talk about confusing. Unfortunately, many of these suggestions don’t usually help and just lead to confusion and people ultimately falling off the wagon right back into old patterns and habits. So what to do?

The best advice I can give you is to take it slow but don’t fall into the trap of making things more complicated than they need to be. Even sticking to a basic exercise regime can make a difference. Complicating things is where most people introduce failure.

The second piece of advice I can give you is this, don’t be shy to hire a personal trainer or other qualified health coach. Even if you are are confident about the knowledge you’ve gained on your own and via the Internet, an expert will help guide you on the right path.

My third piece of advice to you is this; don’t be afraid to try something new. Like anything, routine eventually sets in and things will get boring, not to mention you will eventually hit an exercise plateau.

For these reasons, it’s very important to change it up and try new things – talking both exercise and nutrition. Changing it up and trying new things will make it less likely that you’ll fall off the wagon.

And this brings me to the purpose of this article. When it comes to trying something new, how does CBD stack up? Can CBD really help you achieve your health and fitness goals?

Let’s take a look to see if the CBD craze is truly worth the merit…

Is CBD “The Secret” to a Well-Toned Body?

Let’s not sugarcoat it. I wouldn’t say CBD is “the secret” to a well-tone body, but it is definitely another powerful tool to add to your arsenal. We will take a look shortly…

But first, what exactly is CBD?

What is CBD?

CBD is also referred to as cannabis or cannabidiol. It is a phytocannabinoid that was first discovered in 1940. Cannabis herb is identified and extracted out of 113 cannabinoids with up to 40% of CBD experts.

Many studies have shown that CBD has the potential to heal cognition, anxiety, pain, movement disorders, and much more. This herb type is consumed in many types including – smoke, vape, aerosol spray, inhalation, by mouth, etc.

Talking about CBD, people often misunderstand it as THC compounds which make an individual high. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is a different compound than cannabis which contains some chemical extracts making the consumer high instantly.

Generally, hard-core stoners prefer to consume CBD with THC. Those who are expecting to have medicinal benefits out of CBD consumption, must avoid THC. An experienced person can give you sound advice on the right intake.

What Are the Benefits of CBD?

CBD offers many benefits which can help you achieve your health and fitness goals. A well-toned physique is within your grasp and CBD can definitely help you on your journey.

Here are two of the most common benefits of CBD…

CBD is Great for Pain Relief

Those who have consumed CBD know the value of a CBD product and how it can help get rid of excessive pain, including joint pain, general muscle and body aches. Cannabis or CBD has some good quality anti-inflammatory properties, which helps to soothe the excessive tensed muscle pain. For this, one can go for products like edibles, oil, tinctures, and ointment. Either you can consume edibles or apply ointment on the affected area.

CBD is a Great Sleep Aid

Many fitness fanatics find it difficult to sleep due to acute body pain from working out and overall stress of day to day living. This often results in increased insomnia problems. If you have been encountering such problems, then look upon CBD extract or products which helps to soothe body pain, relax the brain nerves, and help a person enjoy a sound sleep. All you would need to do is consume a set amount of CBD extract and leave the rest on cannabis. You can expect to have the best results only when consuming a decent concentrated dosage. Someone who has never tried cannabis extract should look for edibles first. CBD-enriched edibles come with a lot of health and dietary benefits without hampering the health anyhow.

Of course, these benefits just scratch the surface. Check out this detailed guide to learn more about the benefits of CBD for health and fitness.

What Are Some Common CBD Products?

As it has now been legalized in many parts of the world, cannabidiol has turned out to be a highly preferred choice among millions of people.

There are tons of CBD products available. Cannabis-enriched edibles, including – chocolate bars, tea, coffee, gummy bears, candies, etc. Generally, these options are considered good for newbies who find it difficult to adjust with the high dosage of CBD.

And for those who are pro-CBD lovers, they can go for smoking, dabbing, or vaping cannabis extract. There are several brands like fat buddha glass, offering a line of dabbing or vaping devices, including pens, bongs, and much more.

No matter what product type or concentrate amount you go for, consult an experienced person before landing upon anything.

What is the Right CBD Dosage for Me?

Some people consume CBD for the sake of soothing their mental health, whereas others look towards it to heal increasing body pain. There are numerous factors like – age, health issues, purpose, gender, etc. that decides the actual and preferred CBD dosage for an individual.

For instance – someone who is witnessing severe depression symptoms is prescribed to go for a higher dose of CBD ranging in between 30 to 35mg, on the other hand, the CBD experts suggest to intake only 5mg to relax your stressed mind.

The Takeaway

So, what’s the verdict? Can CBD really help you achieve my health and fitness goals? The short answer is, yes! CBD can definitely help you take your fit game to new levels.

Getting the ultimate body simply takes the right combination of exercise and diet, and the dedication to achieve your goals. Typically, this requires full-blown lifestyle change. So don’t expect results overnight.

And like any health supplement, aids such as CBD are a very useful tool when it comes to improving our health and fitness. CBD is not a magic bullet or miracle product as many claim but it works well in my experience.

I personally use CBD daily to help me sleep at night. I also puff on a CBD oil (vape) after every workout session and it helps with some of my pain. Sometimes tinctures are my go to but I enjoy the vape a bit more because of the taste.

All in all, CBD can help you stay motivated by improving sleep quality and reducing muscle and joint recovery time, not to mention, CBD reduces pain which also has a profound psychological effect on both your body and mind. I love it!
